In recent episodes of "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actress Katherine Heigl shared she was not concerned about the color of her skin until she came across her adopted sister from South Korea. "I I asked my sister Meg, if she had been treated one way when she went walking around with our parents and in a different manner when she was out by herself without them. She said: 'Oh, sure, I've seen everything and I've been there all the time! Heigl told her parents it made her realize just how naive she had been. The actor said she became angry but felt she needed use that anger to help adopt her daughters. Heigl has a son who is four years and Josh Kelley, her husband for 13 years. The couple took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) and is black and was adopted in 2009.
